  • możesz usunąć wybrane posty lub strony ze swojego bloga;
  • możesz zmienić format adresów na całym blogu;
  • linki przychodzące mogą się same zepsuć (np. poprzez zastosowanie automatycznego formatowania tekstu);
  • ktoś może po prostu umieścić niedziałający link na stronie.

Każda z wymienionych powyżej sytuacji prowadzi do utraty mocy linków przychodzących. Możesz jednak temu zapobiec stosując ten plugin do WordPress'a.

English Version

Link Juice Keeper is a WordPress plugin, which helps you to keep the link juice by redirecting all non-existing URLs which normally return a 404 error to the blog front page using 301 redirect.

As you probably know, incoming links play important role in ranking well in Google and other search engines. Therefore you should assure that every incoming link leads to one of pages on your blog. This may be a challenge, because World Wide Web is dynamic and changes every day:

  • you can remove some posts or pages on your blog;
  • you can change URL scheme on whole blog;
  • incoming links may became broken (e.g. due to some automatic text formatting);
  • someone may simply put wrong (broken) link somewhere.

All of the above leads to link juice waste. You can avoid this by using this WordPress plugin. It redirects all non-existing URLs which normally return a 404 error to the blog front page using 301 (permanent) redirect. This way everyone who comes to your blog via broken link (both people and robots) will be redirected to the front page.

You can download this plugin from wordpress.org site.

    Have installed & un-installed several times & also disabled all other plugins on my website....!!!
    Still cannot get this working, cannot find any config page anywhere, after intallation if I go to a known broken link, then nothing changed, still shows 404 error.

    am using WP.2.7.1 but sorry I am not having any success with this at all !
  3. mywordpress.com napisał(a):

    Hi

    I have the same problem as Steve. I'm running WP 2.8, and I have tried with all other plugins deactivated, no success..

    maybe something in the 1.1 update broke something?

    great idea though! :-) I hope you can make it work.

    I am using your Link Juice plugin and it is great thanks.

    Is there a way of finding out which broken links to pages it is redirecting people to the front page from? So I can place page specific redirects rather than a blanket redirect to the front page?

    (My links are broken mostly due to our move from blogger to wordpress and not because the pages people are looking for are no longer there. The problem is that I don't know which pages need these redirects)
  6. Daniel napisał(a):

    No, at this moment plugin does not log this - it only redirects. I think I will be able to add logging and release new version of Link Juice Keeper plugin.
  7. Chas napisał(a):

    Do you have a version of this code for a static HTML site?

    It works great on my blog, but I'm converting away from SQL to static pages. Thanks
  8. Mike Maxson napisał(a):

    I can't find where I need to go to configure the plugin...I have looke under Lugins and Options. The Plugin is activated.
  9. Daniel napisał(a):

    @Chas: no, I don't have. Please check how you can set your own 404 page, or ask your ISP.

    @Mike: this plugin does not have options to configure. Do you need some specific options? I think I will be able to add them.

    1. Upload link-juice-keeper directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory

    2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress

    3. Configure and enjoy :)

    Hi there and thank you for the excellent work.
    I have been using Broken Link Checker and getting great results.
    Your plugin redirects to Home page.
    Will there be a conflict between the two plugins?
    Should I have just one of them activated?
    Thank you in advance. Marikamitsos

    This a fantastic tool. Does what it says. I have a 404 error page for which I had a wrong anchor text but whenever somebody clicked it, it took them to my home page. Thanks for the plugin.

    Downloaded 1.2.2 and installed it. Whenever I try to load non-front page posts, it half-loads then overlays the front page on top half way down the page with the front page flashing. I deactivated and the problem stopped. Glad I caught the problem early.

    It took me a long time to realize but the Link Juice Keeper doesn't work correctly (on any site I've tried) with the default Wordpress Permalink URL structure. Changing it to any custom structure allows the plugin to work correctly.

    I love this plugin :)
  29. zeek rewards napisał(a):

    Yes, it would be nice to have this plugin working as it was great when it was.

    Please can you advise if Link Juice Keeper is compatible with the latest version of Wordpress and will you be updating the plugin?

    Thanks
  36. Russell napisał(a):

    Hi, I just tried the plugin with some made up pages on my site with latest WP install and it doesn't seem to be working. It shows homepage but keeps URL I am typing in as URL...here is an example:

    http://a-koe.com/madeup.html

    Thanks for the help
  37. andy napisał(a):

    I test that plugin and it workds great for me. Thanks for the advice.
  38. Nick napisał(a):

    The plugin is causing the following error on one of my sites....

    Notice: get_bloginfo was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.2! The siteurl option is deprecated for the family of bloginfo() functions. Use the url option instead. in.... [path omitted]

    I've been trying to fix this by editing the functions.php file but it still doesn't work.

    I think it's impossible to actually find the line of code that the plugin is conflicting with but hopefully I'm wrong.

    Any help here would be greatly appreciated as I love your plugin and use it on all my sites.

    Thank you!

    Witam, świetna ta wtyczka do WordPressa. Czasami powoduje jednak błędy serwera. Czy planujecie wydać aktualizację to bieżącje wersji WP?
  44. marketing w turystyce napisał(a):

    Bardzo dobra wtyczka sam jej używam sprawdza się doskonale. Obowiązkowa wtyczka dla każdego kto korzysta z Wordpressa.
  45. CEB.COM.PL napisał(a):

    Czy to prawda że dodatek jest niezgodny z dokumentami RFC 1945 i 2616. I błąd 404 lepiej nie załatwiać przekierowaniem 301, tylko poprawiać za pomocą wtyczki Redirection?
  46. Responsywne strony www napisał(a):

    Bardzo przydatna wtyczka. Wdrożenie przekierowań bez niej zajęłoby sporo czasu, a w ten sposób w ciągu 1 minuty mamy wszystko gotowe. Ma to znaczący wpływ na proces pozycjonowania serwisów internetowych.
  47. Radio Maciek napisał(a):

    Tak też można ustawić chyba w samym htacesssie
  48. travel napisał(a):

    Ciekawa wtyczka używam jej na kilku stronach.
  51. FX napisał(a):

    Szukałem tego typu funkcjonalności ale nie mogłem tego wcześniej znaleźć. Projekt chyba wygląda na nieaktualizowany więc polecam wszystkim wtyczkę "Backlink Saver".
